Halloween Cocktail Treats!

With Halloween just around the corner, there is always a ton of chatter about creating the perfect costume, picking the right personality to embody for an evening and of course, what food and beverages to serve for your Halloween-themed event. These cocktails from Van Gogh Vodka, TAP Whisky and VOV (a traditional Italian Zabajone Cream Liqueur, created in 1845 by a confectioner and nougat specialist) are full of playful flavors, tricks as well as treats for any crowd.

 

Arancia Fizz

2 oz.VOV

2 oz. Orange juice

3 oz. Sparkling orange soda or ginger ale

Add ingredients to a highball glass filled with ice and roll (empty contents back and forth between a shaker tin and the highball glass until well mixed). Garnish with an orange slice.

 

Mummified Berry Boozy Milkshake

1 oz. Van Gogh Raspberry Vodka

1 oz. Van Gogh Vanilla Vodka

1 cup Milk

1/2 cup Vanilla Ice Cream

1/2 Banana

1 heaping tbsp. Smooth Peanut Butter

1 heaping tbsp. Raspberry Jam or Raspberries

Blend all ingredients and pour into a tall “mummified” glass.

1 bottle Van Gogh Rich Dark Chocolate Vodka

12 oz. Orange Juice

12 oz. Pomegranate Juice

12 oz. Club Soda

Pour ingredients into large punch bowl or pitcher filled with ice and stir to chill and dilute.  Ladle or pour out into small punch glasses. Garnish with several sliced orange wheels.

Halloween without whisky is just plain scary.

 

Peanut Butter Cup Martini

1½ oz. Van Gogh Dutch Chocolate Vodka

1 oz. Castries Crème Peanut Rum

¾ oz. Chocolate Liqueur

½ oz. Cream

Drizzle chocolate syrup into the bottom of a martini glass.  Place the glass into the refrigerator until ready to use. Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice.  Shake and strain into the chilled martini glass.  Garnish with a peanut butter cup.

1 ½ oz. Van Gogh Dutch Caramel Vodka

½ oz. Irish Cream Liqueur

½ oz. Chocolate Liqueur

½ oz. Amaretto

Splash of Cream

Drizzle a thin line of both caramel and chocolate sauce on the inside of a rocks glass and place in refrigerator to chill. Combine all ingredients into a shaker and shake over ice. Pour entire contents of shaker into glass.

2 oz. Van Gogh BLUE Triple Wheat Vodka

2 tablespoons Fresh Horseradish

1 tsp Chipotle Paste

1/2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce

Tomato Juice to top

1/2 Lime to garnish

Fresh Lime to rim a glass

Celery Salt to rim a glass

Run a wedge of fresh lime around the top of a lowball glass, then dip glass in celery salt to rim. Add remainder of the ingredients in a glass and mix. Fill glass with ice and stir. Garnish with a celery stalk, lime wheel, and “scary eyeballs” or sliced radishes spiked with olives for a spooky twist.
