Four New Rye Cocktails for Fall from Wild Turkey and Russell’s Reserve

The first chill of the fall air has arrived and while everyone else is spending the cooler months making hot toddies, Wild Turkey Master Distillers Jimmy and Eddie Russell think that this is the perfect season for sipping on something slightly spicier. Rye whiskey, Bourbon’s spicy cousin, is making a roaring comeback. In fact, since 2009, Rye whiskey volumes have grown 536% from 88,000 9-liter cases to over a half million cases (561,000) in 2014.

Fortunately, Wild Turkey has always been ahead of trends and this is one Eddie saw coming a mile away. As a lover of mixology, he pays close attention to the shift in drinking habits of his customers and over the past year, he’s seen a renewed interest in Rye-forward cocktails. To ease yourself into an exploration of Rye, we’ve got a variety of cocktails created by some of the best bartenders in the business that feature both high-quality Wild Turkey and Russell’s Reserve Rye.
